In their times the Russian Emperors Alexander I, Nickolay I, Alexander II and members of their families, as well as other renown personalities, being the members of the Emperor's escort, used to put up there. It was in this house that the Emperor Alexander II met with the captive imaum Shamil. Currently Travelling palace is a part of museum complex and is used as an exhibition hall in summer.
