Artistic and patriotic action for the military soldiers continues in the Art-Memorial museum of I.E. Repin. Soldiers have free access to all departments of the museum, as well as other events that take place in the museum.
Supporting the initiative of colleagues to present a public report to the museum community, the Art-Memorial Museum of I.E. Repin publishes its main achievements during 2014.
In the class children learned about the Ukrainian traditions of celebration of the common Slavic holiday – Kolodiy holiday or Maslenitsa. Our still not so distant ancestors called this holiday a holiday of Kolodiy. The sun sets on a new round, bringing spring. Turns out, that this holiday is not only a parting ceremony of winter, but also a holiday of love. Girls made amulets. Boys made a spring tree. Children stringed paper birds and colorful ribbons on the boughs.
In October, 2014 I.E. Repin’s museum workers took part in the training "Making the future: Voices of visitors at the museums". The seminar was conducted by the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography of Sloboda Ukraine (Kharkiv) and the National Center of Folk Culture "Ivan Honchar Museum"(Kiev). Since then we try to listen to the visitors voices and offer them a variety of options for their expression.
Since December 1 to December 15 at the Art Gallery were hold Draw a portrait of St. Nicholas Awards among pupils from local schools. Winners of children's drawings comp were awarded on December 19. Guest presentation has been prepared in which the young contestants and their parents learn interesting facts about St. Nicholas, the traditions of the Day of St. Nicholas in different countries.
The Art-Memorial Museum of I.E Repin makes one more step towards the visitors. From now in the Art Gallery that is one of the Museum’s departments all guests can use freeWireless Internet.
On December 9, pupils from military school (Eskhar) visited the Art gallery, historical building of the former Chuguev Junker infantry school. Pupils presented a gift to the Museum - an enlarged copy of the Chuguev Junker infantry school sign.
On November 18, at the Central Scientific Library of the Kharkov National University named after V.N Karazin opened ethnographic exhibition of embroidered towels. Museums in Kharkov and Kharkov region were invited to participate in the event. Art-Memorial Museum of I.E Repin was presented at the exhibition by embroidered towels from own collection.
Attention! Since September 8, 2014 till December 31, 2014 the Art-Memorial Museum of I.E Repin (8 R. Luxemburg Street) is closed for restoration. Previously at the Art Gallery you can attend lectures about life and creative work of Ilya Repin.
